trying to fit waterparks into 5 day park hopper. Sa-MK Su-AK M-HS T-Epot....Wednesday is up in the air but also our last day....where and when should we do waterparks? lowest crowds? how much time should allow for travel?

    Elizabeth:

Let me be upfront: I'm not a big fan of the Waterparks & More Ticket on top of the Park Hopper to the tune of over $100 per person.  It's difficult to justify its value for a short trip, but imagine what you could spend that money on: a memorable meal, souvenirs, even a resort upgrade.  My only exception: the holidays.  (Crowds may compel you to park hop, even if it's Blizzard Beach on Christmas Eve!)

With such a short visit as yours, you have a lot of ground to cover with the theme parks alone.  My thought is to do one or the other: Park Hopper to cover the parks thoroughly or Water Parks & More.  Either ticket you choose will save half of getting both.

With that in mind, if you have young children or anyone with mobility issues, I'd go for the Water Park over the Park Hopper as it sounds like you already have in mind to visit one park a day.  But even with the Waterpark option, if you're having difficulty seeing where to fit it in, that might be telling you something.

But I've digressed enough. Let me answer your question on face value and leave you to think about my initials comments.

If you're trying to squeeze in the waterparks, Sunday afternoon would be the time to go:  Animal Kingdom has Early Magic Hours most Sundays and closes the early!  I'd recommend getting up early to take advantage of this, wearing your swimsuit under your clothes, and enjoying the park until after lunch.  From there, hop on a bus to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach and be in the water in about 40 minutes!  You can even rent a towel for just a few dollars so you don't have to lug it around Animal Kingdom!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
