Hello, trying to find a stroller that works for Disney World. We found a brand called Sit 'n' Stand. It has a toddler seat in front and a spot to sit or stand for an older child to rest as well. Would it meet the stroller guidelines?

Hi Morgan, and a big warm welcome to planDisney!

I’m so excited to chat about one of my favourite Disney topics - strollers! Truly, a happy kiddo can make all the difference between a magical Disney day and one filled with unexpected 'adventures.' So, if you’re on the fence, my advice is always (ALWAYS) bring that stroller!

The Sit-n-Stand stroller sounds similar to one we’ve used at Walt Disney World. Even though our little one doesn't use a stroller much in everyday life, something about those Disney days (and all the walking!) makes him need it at Disney. Our stroller has a handy little rear seat that lets him take a quick break whenever he needs. Having this option gives us peace of mind, and I much prefer it to renting one mid-day!

A couple of quick things to keep in mind: Walt Disney World does have stroller size guidelines - anything larger than 31” (79 cm) in width and 52” (132 cm) in length isn’t allowed, and stroller wagons are a no-go. But if your stroller fits within those magic dimensions, you’re ready to roll!

One tip: make your stroller easy to spot! Cast Members sometimes move strollers around to keep everything running smoothly, and in a sea of strollers, finding yours can feel like a treasure hunt. We’ve had great luck using bright ribbons, battery-operated fairy lights, or even glow sticks to help ours stand out, especially at night. There are even cute signs available but I recommend making them easy to remove or that they can stay in place all the time.

This leads me to my next stroller tip. If possible, use the Disney Resort transport options where your kiddo can remain in their stroller to board! Depending on crowd levels, the boats, monorail, and Disney Skyliner have all been total lifesavers for us. No need to unclick the popcorn buckets or empty that basket of Disney goodies (because, let’s face it, it’s filled with treasures by the end of the day).

I hope this sprinkle of stroller tips helps make your Disney days as magical as can be, Morgan! If you have any more questions, we're here to help at planDisney!

Wishing you a stroller-full of pixie dust and unforgettable memories,

    Louise
