Welcome to planDisney, Kyle! Great question!
As you likely know, the
Disney Skyliner is another
complimentary transportation offered to Guests visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort or staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. It has quickly become a favorite for my three boys. They love keeping track of which Disney characters they ride with or playing the guessing game of which gondola will be ours. Sometimes, on our resort days, we like to ride the Skyliner from EPCOT to
Disney’s Riviera Resort for a treat from
Le Petit Café or to
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for an Island Time Margarita and Seafood Fritters from
Banana Cabana.
I spoke with a Cast Member today who advised all Guests to unload their children and fold their strollers before boarding the Disney Skyliner. Even if your stroller is under 30” wide (which is the approximate opening of the gondola door), there wouldn’t be much room for you and your family to sit since the seats are positioned to have Guests face each other, so it will likely be more comfortable to have your stroller folded anyway. I know there have been times that we have been able to board with our stroller as-is, but it was a smaller umbrella-style stroller. It could have been at the discretion of the Cast Member, with other factors taken into consideration (crowds, time of day, wheelchair-accessible gondola, etc.). So, for now, I would plan on having to fold up your stroller before boarding.
