Trying to find out price for tickets and hotel for a group of 13 people with connecting rooms in downtown disney

    Hi William,

Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question! It sounds like you're beginning to plan the vacation of a lifetime for your family. Planning a Disney vacation for a large group can feel like a big task—but don’t worry, we at planDisney are here to help you start off on the right foot.

Because you’ll need multiple connecting rooms and a large number of tickets, I highly recommend booking your vacation through the Walt Disney Travel Company. Their team makes the booking process much easier, as they can view all available room configurations at once. It would be such a bummer to book separately and end up with your party scattered—some with a view of Downtown Disney, and others without! This is a free vacation planning service and they will be able to provide you with a stress free quote of your future vacation.

You can contact the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 956-6425, available daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. PST. All three Disneyland Resort hotels offer options for larger groups, such as two- and three-bedroom connecting suites or Grand Villas. Since it sounds like you want to be right in the heart of the action, I recommend asking about rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It's a beautiful resort that keeps the magic going even after you leave the parks—plus, it offers direct access to both California Adventure and the Downtown Disney.

Speaking of Downtown Disney, make sure to leave a free evening to explore the area as a family! It has seen some exciting upgrades recently, with even more on the way. Be sure to check out the Ultimate Guide to Downtown Disney for the latest.

For the adults in your group, head upstairs to The Vista, the lounge above Parkside Market. I once ordered a drink called "On the Wing," served in a bird-shaped glass worthy of a social media post! While relaxing there, you can enjoy live music from the LIVE! Stage nearby. And for a memorable family dinner, I highly recommend Jazz Kitchen. The food is delicious, the ambiance is lively, and on select nights, a live pianist adds even more charm to your meal.

I hope this helps, William! If you have any more questions or need additional planning tips, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your vacation.

    Happy planning!
