    I am trying to find more information about a character dining event that I have for our family on Christmas Day. We will be dining at Ft Wilderness buffet that includes character dining. How do we get to the restaurant?

    Although I've seen Mickey and Minnie at Fort Wilderness's Pioneer Hall for pictures on Easter, and could fathom that they might be there for other special appearances on holidays like Christmas, I can't confirm them at the Trail's End Buffet for Character Dining.  They do appear at Mickey's Backyard Barbecue in the pavilion behind Pioneer Hall and Trail's End but that experience is usually only on Thursdays (Christmas Eve) and Saturdays (December 26).

    I'd recommend that you call Disney Dining at 407-939-3463 just to confirm your restaurant--there may be a special performance of Mickey's Backyard BBQ and I just don't know it....

    Either way, all dining is held in the buildings around Pioneer Hall.  You can get there by taking the boat from Magic Kingdom and then making a short walk to Pioneer Hall.
