Hi! I am trying to find out more info on special dining experiences like the magical fireworks voyage or(since we are a group of 9)the illuminations dinner and can't find it on the Disney website. Any searching tips? Or recommendations for similar dinners?

    Hi Darcie -

Traveling to Disney World with a large group is so much fun, especially since there are special experiences designed just for large parties staying at Disney World Resorts!
    • Safari Celebration Dinner - Dinner begins with a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris.  Then you return to Tusker House for an African-inspired feast served family style.  Exotic wildlife (usually creepy snakes & spiders), songs, and a visit from some Disney characters are also part of the evening.
    • Good Morning Character Breakfast - a character breakfast at Tony's Town Square and a view of Mickey's PhilharMagic.
    • International Dinner & Illuminations Dessert Reception - a buffet style dinner with storytelling and musical entertainment.  You may even see some of your favorite Disney Characters.  After dinner, you are taken to a reserved viewing area to watch Illuminations and enjoy a dessert buffet.
    • Magical Fireworks Voyage - this event is actually being offered to all guests, regardless of group size, beginning in March.  The voyage begins with cookies & snacks as you set sail to see Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant.  Along the way, you are greeted by Captain Hook, Mr. Smee and Peter Pan.
A great site for finding more information about these experiences is www.wdwinfo.com.  At the site click the planning link at the top of the page.  Scroll down until you find a link to Grand Gatherings.  This is not official information, but it should help you in the decision making process.  I recommend registering your party as a magical gathering by calling (407)934-7639.  A Magical Gatherings planning specialist will be assigned to you and help you coordinate these activities as well as any other dining reservations.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
