Welcome back to planDisney, Virginia!
I’ve always wanted to take my mom to the Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and I can’t wait for it to reopen. As you know, it is currently temporarily unavailable. In the meantime, at the Grand Floridian, we can wish on a star with Wishmakers like Aladdin and Princess Tiana at
1900 Park Fare’s character dining meals or enjoy Florida-inspired eats at
Narcoossee’s.
Now, by the time of your visit in September, there is a chance that a similar experience will open its doors in the Disney’s BoardWalk area.
The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers will be home to a delightful array of baked goods and its own afternoon tea. There is another location open in another part of the United States and it looks practically perfect. Fingers crossed that this will be open in time for your vacation.
AN EXTRA GEM: Keep an eye out on the
Disney Parks Blog to get the latest news about the opening or reopening of these restaurants. You can also order a celebratory cake from
Amorette’s Patisserie or have a lakeside meal at
Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs. The Cheesy Dream Puffs and spritzes are swoon-worthy.
Virginia, I hope that this helps you plan the best 18th birthday celebration ever!
Feel free to revisit us here at planDisney if you need any more ideas for your upcoming vacation. See you real soon!
Magic always,
LeAndra
