I am trying to find out if I buy my Disney vacation package (Disney hotel and park tickets) through an outside site, do I still get the magic bands? If so, do I also get to customize them (choosing colors and with names, etc.)? Thanks!!

    Hi Rhonda,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. If you are staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will receive MagicBands for your stay. You might be able to customize them, but it will require a little more work, depending on which vendor you purchased your package from.

You need your Disney reservation number to link your resort reservation to My Disney Experience. Once you have linked your resort reservation, you will be given the option of customizing your MagicBands. When you book with an outside vendor, they have their own reservation number they will give you, which may or may not be the same as your Disney reservation number. If the number you have been given won't link your reservation in My Disney Experience, you will need to contact your vendor to have them locate your Disney reservation number.

Wishing you the best of luck and a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
