Hello, I am trying to figure out which place is best for my needs between the Disneyland Hotel and the Grand Californian. What are some of the services and amenities between both and what are the differences?

    Hello Maya!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I’m sure you’re looking forward to your vacation at the Disneyland Resort! I’d love to help you with your decision between staying at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Let me start by saying that all of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort are located just steps from Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park and include perks like Extra Magic Hour Early Admission and Merchandise Delivery. All of them have swimming pools and offer outdoor movies. So no matter which hotel you choose, you’ll enjoy these services and amenities.

Here are a couple highlights of both hotels. Disneyland Hotel has magical headboards that light up for a bit of extra pixie dust at bedtime. Sometimes Characters have been known to hang out in the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has a dedicated entrance, the Grand Gate, that registered guests may use to enter Disney California Adventure Park. I find the dedicated entrance to be very helpful when I want to take breaks at the hotel throughout my day at Disney California Adventure Park.

Both of these hotels would be a great choice for your family vacation. You really can’t go wrong!

I hope this helps make your decision easier! Come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have more questions!
