Trying to figure out the new dining plan, we don’t drink alcohol so when we get a quick service meal what are our drink options. I see some places have slushies, does that count. Is there a list somewhere that we can find out what’s included.

Hey Howdy Hey Tara and welcome to planDisney!

The purchase of the Disney Dining Plan is a great option for a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. This allows you so much freedom to pick where you want to eat and already have the tab covered. Thank you for stopping by with your question on the details of drink selections applicable to the dining plan. I will be happy to give you more information on these qualifications.

In summary, every meal will come with a beverage. Beverages for those 21 and under, or those who do not want to drink alcohol, typically will include fountain drinks, milkshakes, smoothies and hot chocolate. Due to the ever-evolving menus available at most locations throughout Walt Disney World, it is hard to find all the specific details of drinks outside of the broad statement above with milkshakes, smoothies and hot chocolate. The best way to find the specific details on approved drinks for the dining plan per restaurant is to ask your server. Many blogs may also discuss the specifics of drink offerings for dining plans, just know things change frequently with menus in Disney and these may be outdated by the time you take your trip.

Tara, did you know that during your vacation, you can use your dining plan credits to Mobile Order food and drinks right from your My Disney Experience account? It is super easy to do. When you open your app, select the three horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen and select the "Order Food" tile. Walk through the steps to place your order and on the final payment screen, you should see an option to pay for your selections by redeeming your dining plan credits. This option can save you a bunch of time not waiting in lines for food and drinks and more time enjoying the parks.

I hope this helped clear some things up for you with regard to drink options during your upcoming vacation. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
