While I'm not sure what you decided to order, the fact that you ordered on July 27th, the release day of MagicBand+, gives me a hint. I'm so excited about all the new features of the
MagicBand+ and the all-new designs available! Whether it's interacting with the
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, seeing your MagicBand+ come alive during
nighttime spectaculars, or hunting down the galaxy's scum as a Batuu Bounty Hunter, there are so many magical tricks packed into these little bands, plus all the normal MagicBand features you know and love.
I completely understand your concern about receiving your order in advance of your upcoming trip. It just so happens that I
also placed a MagicBand+ order on July 27th for my upcoming trip at the end of next week. My order shipped yesterday, about 10 days in advance of my arrival, and my order's Standard Shipping timeline indicates that I should receive them in 4-5 business days once they've shipped. This means that I should be receiving them about four days prior to my departure, giving me plenty of time to charge them up, link them to our smartphones, and get ready for the magic!
You ordered on the same day I did, and your trip is more than a week after mine, so I think you should be just fine. Delays do occur, and if your tracking information indicates that you won't receive your order by your departure date, I recommend you
contact a friendly Cast Member by phone or use the convenient Chat feature in your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. They should be able to advise you on how to address the situation. The good news is that MagicBand and MagicBand+ are both available for purchase at many locations at Walt Disney World Resort, and my hope is that you'd be offered a replacement if shipping is delayed.
