Hey there, Tami, and welcome to planDisney! Traveling to Walt Disney World with a large party is always a good time - it just takes a little extra planning and pixie dust to make sure that everyone in your group has an amazing vacation!
The great news is that your party is totally able to divide and conquer! In fact, I highly recommend it. There are so many amazing attractions offered across all 4 Theme Parks that sometimes it is actually easier for a large party to split up so that individual Guests can experience what matters most. They may want to see a beloved character or queue up for the park’s hottest new attraction! The most important thing is to make sure that each guest has a valid
Theme Park reservation each day for the Theme Park they want to visit. Guests aged 14 and older can even tour the Theme Parks without an adult! Your group’s Mouseketeers who are still under the age of 14 will still need to hang tight with a guardian or responsible party as they enjoy the attractions.
And whether your group decides to all hang together or if splitting up is the name of the game, Disney makes it simple to keep all those vacation plans in sync and connected. You can link your group as
Family & Friends through your My Disney Experience account so that you can share and coordinate plans across your party. This allows you to make dining reservations, book
Disney Genie+ entrances,
Individual Lightning Lanes, and more!
Tami, you can follow the steps to build your Family & Friends List in the My Disney Experience App.
Open the
My Disney Experience app 1. Select the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the home screen
2. Scroll down and select “My Profile”
3. Select the Friends & Family list tab
4. Scroll down and “Add a Guest” and repeat for each additional guest you’d like to add
And now that your party is all connected, you can easily make plans together (or apart!) Either way, I’m excited for your entire group to experience Walt Disney World.
I hope this helps, Tami! Your Walt Disney World vacation is calling!
You’ve got a friend in me,
PG
