Hi! Trying to figure out where to eat. Is the Character dinner in Norway a buffet or plated dinner? I read somewhere it is both. If we use DDP does that determine what it is and if it is buffet what do they serve? Thank you for your help!

Hi Denise!  Welcome back to the Moms Panel.  Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in Norway at Epcot, is a Storybook Princess themed dining venue.  Breakfast is served family-style, while Lunch and Dinner are a little different.  There is a cold Norwegian-style appetizer buffet, followed by an a-la-carte entree.  A non-alcoholic beverage and dessert are also included with lunch or dinner.  If you click the link I provided above, you can view the menus for each meal to get an idea of the types of dishes served.

I highly recommend making advance reservations if you decide to dine here.  Due to the popularity of the Disney Princesses, meals at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall are very popular and tend to book quickly. You can make online Disney Dining Reservations up to 180 days in advance of your arrival at a Walt Disney World Resort or 180 days in advance of the day you wish to dine if staying off-site.

I hope this information is helpful to you.  Please don't hesitate to ask me any more questions you may have while planning your Walt Disney World vacation.
