Hey there Danea!
Thanks for visiting planDisney! It sounds like there's a great, big, beautiful family vacation at Walt Disney World Resort in your future. Each of us here on the planDisney panel is happy to help you get familiar with all the info and tips you'll need to know to put together your Disney destination fun. It's especially wonderful to see you're bringing your whole big family. A Disney vacation is always fun, and bringing the whole family together makes the experience that much more special.
First off, I invite you to come back and visit us here at
planDisney as you'll likely think of more questions once you get your planning started. There are a few questions you'll want to think through based on all your vacationing style preferences, and I won't cover all the details here. So please, come back with questions as you have them.
When I start putting together a vacation budget, I find the best place to begin is to use the
vacation package planning tools on the Walt Disney World Resort website. The most important items to plan for are your resort accommodations, your theme park tickets, and your dining. What I find really helpful and convenient is that the vacation package tools guide you step-by-step to help you put together your vacation plan, and it shows you your vacation package total as you go.
To get a general idea for how much it will cost for your family of nine, you'll want to start by putting together a plan for resort accommodations and theme park tickets. Simply start by selecting your desired check-in and check-out dates and number of Guests, and you'll see resort suggestions. In your case, with a family of nine, you'll want to decide if the whole family will share the same accommodations or if you'll prefer multiple rooms. There are many wonderful and comfortable resort accommodations that could work for the whole family to stay together, like a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village that sleeps up to nine adults.
Your next step will be to add theme park tickets, and you'll get to see your choices for the number of days for which you want tickets. I always suggest taking at least four or five days to enjoy all the theme parks.
After you've planned for your resort and your theme park admission, you'll have a general idea of your vacation costs so far. What I personally love about the vacation package planning tool is the feature to save and compare different vacation offers, so you can play around with options that best fit your family.
Dining is another vacation item you'll want to plan for, and there is a
range of choices for dining experiences to suit your food preferences and dining style preferences and budget.
I also encourage you to check out the
"Know Before You Go" information for the latest Walt Disney World Resort updates to help plan your vacation.
