Hi there Kayla, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question, I'm thrilled to help! It sounds like you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort. You're sure to make some excellent memories at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Kayla, I find the easiest and most convenient way to purchase theme park tickets is online. There are two main
Walt Disney World Theme Park Ticket types available for guests visiting the theme parks: Standard date based theme park tickets (allows guests to visit one park per day) and Park Hopper Tickets (allows guests to visit multiple parks per day). Each ticket type has its own perks and offers different levels of flexibility. Standard date based theme park tickets require you to choose a start date at purchase. Your standard date based tickets is valid for entry into one theme park per day for each day of your ticket. You can pick a different theme park each day or any combination of the following 4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
If you're looking for a little more flexibility, the
Park Hopper option allows guests to visit more than one theme park on the same day. The ability to visit a park is subject to the park's capacity limitations. Like the standard date based ticket, a Disney World Park Hopper ticket is valid for admission to all four of the major theme parks. My family and I love the Park Hopper option as it allows us to maximize our time in the parks.
Another bit of advice I love to give is to stay on Disney property if you're able to! There are so many reasons why I prefer to stay at a Disney Resort hotel. A few of my favorites include:
- Complimentary transportation - Not only are the theme parks near some resorts, but they’re easy to get to. With several complimentary transportation options, such as buses, boats, monorails and Disney Skyliner, I can get anywhere I need to.
- Extra time in the theme parks - Disney Resort hotel guests can get extra time in the theme parks with 30 minutes of early theme park entry. Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts or Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts can maximize their time with extended evening hours at select parks on select nights.
- Early access to dining reservations - Disney Resort hotel guests can make dining reservations for their entire stay (up to a 10-night stay) 60 days before arrival.
Kayla, I hope you find this information helpful and thank you again for visiting planDisney! Have a magical day!
Kay
