Trying to figure out the best water park for our 7 year old grandson when we arrive in July . He loves a wave pool , we love a lazy river and just want it to be a fun filled water park day !

    Splish Splash, Erminia!

Thanks for swimming over to planDisney today, I’ll be more than happy to help advise you as to which water park to swim over to. My family and I just got back from exploring both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach over Memorial Day weekend, so we recently had this debate.

Before going, a bunch of my fellow panelists all suggested Blizzard Beach as their favorite. So that’s where we went first. The lazy river, Cross Country Creek, was where we started. It was so much fun. After one time around, they were ready to hit the slopes, or the slides, so that’s where we went next. If it were up to my seven-year-old, though, we would have stayed at Melt-Away Bay the entire time.

Around lunchtime time we went back to our resort to eat and refresh, and then ended our evening at Typhoon Lagoon. This one won the family vote as our favorite. I’m not sure if it was because we were well fed and the weather was cooling down, but it was our absolute favorite! The beachy vibe and sand all around won my kids over. Plus, the wave pool, Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, was the best! It truly felt like we were off on a separate island.

Erminia, honestly, either option is going to result in a day of fun! Our favorite was Typhoon Lagoon, but even Blizzard Beach left us with some great core memories. I recommend checking out the different attractions at both water parks online before you arrive. Maybe even show your grandson the options he can choose from to see what he likes. My kids are still talking about different attractions from both parks, so even though they lean towards Typhoon Lagoon, I know they would love a second visit to Blizzard Beach.

I hope this helps, Erminia. I wish I could give you a definite selection, but both are incredibly fun, and I know your family is going to have a cool time!

    Splashin’ fun,
