Just trying to figure out the best time for a Disney vacation with friends. We're very flexible as far as dates go. We're looking for the time of year that we can expect it to be least busy but also not have a high chance of rain. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Kelsey:

    T
he best time to head to Walt Disney World is when schools are in session, which is when crowds at the Parks tend to be the lightest.  I believe late October or early December is best in terms of weather and crowds.  There are few, if any, school holidays late October or early December.

Weather in October generally hovers in the low 80's and in December the weather tends to hover in the high 70's.  Hurricane season, which starts in the summer, tends to taper off by early October.  Keep in mind that while the weather can get crisp in late October and early December, it's usually not too cold, and Disney resort and waterpark pools are heated all year long.

Between late October and early December, I would sliiiightly learn to visit early December since the Parks are decorated for the Holidays by then.

    Enjoy your vacation.
