Hi Angela,
You have come to the right place for help! Walt Disney World provides many choices for your vacation style and sometimes you need a friend to help guide you with making your choices. The Disney Parks Moms Panel is always happy to be that friend and help you plan your Disney vacation.
If you would like to visit the water parks for 1 or 2 visits then you should consider the "Water Park Fun & More" option to add to your base ticket. The cost is $60 additional to any ticket and gives you the number of visits corresponding to the number of days on your theme park ticket. For example if you purchase a 6 day theme park ticket you will have 6 theme park days and 6 Water Park Fun & More visits.
One important feature of the Water Parks Fun & More visits is that you may use more than one visit per day. For example, you may choose to visit Typhoon Lagoon in the morning and then visit DisneyQuest in the afternoon thereby using 2 visits in the same day. These visits are redeemed differently than theme park admissions.
If you think you will be visiting the theme parks for 6 days and also visiting the water parks for 2 or more visits, then your best value is to add the Water Parks Fun & More option even if you do not use all of the Water Park Fun & More visits. Here is a link to view and order
Magic Your Way Tickets.
Angela if you aren't certain you will want to go to the water parks, you can purchase a base ticket and then upgrade your tickets later with the Water Parks Fun & More option if you are within 14 days of first usage of your tickets and there is at least 1 day left on your ticket.
Please let us know if you have any further questions!
Blessings,
