I am trying to figure out the most affordable place to stay with our group - we have four adults and four children - and we also qualify for the military discount. We plan to arrive on April 29, 2021 and check out May 8, 2021.

Those travel dates are right around the corner, Lori. I bet your entire party is getting excited for the trip! I’m happy to offer some suggestions for accommodations.

Given the ages of your traveling party, I think you’ll find that the most economical choice for your accommodations is to reserve two rooms. An ideal division of Guests in each room would be two adults and two children. Would that work well for the family dynamics?

As far as hotels, I am so happy to tell you that stays within the Disney Resorts Collection can be had at a nice discount for members of the U.S. military. Have you familiarized yourself with this special offer? You can call 407-939-7830 to inquire about availability.

Do keep in mind that nightly rates at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or Disney’s Pop Century Resort represent some of the best deals available for budget-minded travelers. If you’re willing to spend a bit more, consider Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, too. The pool there is a big draw for families with kids!

Another option for your party would be to check into availability at Shades of Green. Though not part of the Disney Resorts Collection, this hotel offers tremendous value to eligible Guests.

I also wanted to point out that your trip dates overlap with the Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. I highly recommend checking it out.

I hope I’ve helped guide your decision, Lori. Let us know if we can help further as you begin planning the details of your magical vacation!
