Hi Robbin!
Almost all our visits to Walt Disney World include extended family and friends, so I consider myself a My Disney Experience expert! I have a few suggestions that might help.
First, you mentioned that the other two family members are “set up to watch” the plans. I’m not entirely sure what that means, but maybe this is the issue. It sounds like these Guests have created their own
My Disney Experience Accounts. Once they have their accounts, you need to link to each of them using the
Family & Friends tool in My Disney Experience. Once you have done that, it should give all you the ability to make
FastPass+ selections for everyone.
If you have already done this, and are still having difficulty, make sure that everyone is eligible to have FastPass+. Does each person have a valid ticket linked to them? Are you within your valid window to reserve your FastPass+ selections? Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can book up to 60 days in advance of their check-in day, and off-site Guests can reserve 30 days in advance of each park day.
Is it possible that the other Guests have already booked their FastPass+ selections? If they already have booked their own, the system will see that and not allow you to book more.
If you have already made FastPass+ selections for some of your group and want to add others to the same time, you can attempt to do this if there is availability remaining. When looking at your current FastPass+ reservation, choose the Add Guest option. If there is still availability, you can add your additional family members. If you aren't seeing the time you want, it could be that FastPass+ are gone for that exact time.
If you can’t get times that match exactly, try to get overlapping times. Your FastPass+ time is a one hour window. So if part of your group has a FastPass for 6 pm, and the rest of the group has a FastPass for 6:30 pm, you can all enter the ride queue together from 6:30 pm to 7 pm!
If you are still having difficulty, I have always received excellent service from the Cast Members from tech support. I recommend
giving them a call and they should be able to see from a behind the scenes angle what the exact issue is.
I hope one of these ideas helps solve your issue, Robert. Sending you pixie dust for those perfect FastPass+ selections!
