I am trying to make dinner reservations for our 1st trip to Disney in Dec. We are bringing our girls 9, 13, &16. What would be the best time to eat. We do not want to be on a true schedule but do not want to miss the parades or fire works. We have dini

    Hi MaryBeth,

Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World! December is an extra magical time of year to visit and planning ahead to make the most of your vacation is a great idea.

I would dine early. This allows you to beat the crowds AND take part in the evening entertainment. For example, the last time my family dined at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I made reservations for 50's Prime Time Cafe at 4:00 pm. We were the first family seated for the dinner hour and we had excellent interaction with our server. We then had time to play in the park prior to seeing Fantasmic!

If you can dine between 4-5 p.m., you'll keep ahead of the crowds and set yourselves up to be free for the parade and fireworks. When touring Epcot, you'll have a little more leeway as IllumiNations is typically shown at 9:00 p.m. However, dining early is still a great way to design your touring plan and works easily well at lunch time (11:00a.m.).

Enjoy a fabulous visit and let me know if you have any further questions!
