Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Karyn!
Welcome to planDisney! We are so excited you stopped by, and we are honored to answer your question regarding your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort! We KNOW you are going to have the most MAGICAL time!
I am so sorry you are having issues in finding a
Disneyland Dining Reservation when you arrive in August. I think there are several factors making it difficult for you to book a reservation. The first reason is that Mickey Mouse is still limiting the number of guests allowed in each restaurant. The second reason is the size of your reservation group. As you can imagine, it is much easier to find a table for four people than to find a table for seven.
I did just my own research to see if I could find any open reservations during your trip to the Disneyland Resort. At this point, there are no reservations available in the
Downtown Disney District. There is a reservation available for seven at
Lamplight Lounge, but this restaurant is found in
Disney California Adventure Park.
Now, I don't want you to give up quite yet in finding a reservation! Here are some tips for you:
* The Disneyland Dining Reservation System is dynamic, meaning it changes all of the time based on cancellations by other guests. With this in mind, I recommend you checking every day to see if a reservation opens. PRO-TIP: Reservations WILL open closer to your preferred dates because guests will cancel their reservation when scheduling conflicts arise at the last minute. Persistence is the key!
* You COULD break your party into a reservation of four and a reservation of three. Like I said before, it is much easier to find reservations for smaller parties.
I am wishing upon a star you are able to book a MAGICAL dining reservation! If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask! We are here to help in any way!
Have a TIGGER-ific day!
