Great to hear from you again, Sarah!
Thank you so much for your patience - I've just returned from my family vacation to Walt Disney World® Resort. With just over two weeks until the beginning of the 2015 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna®, I hope you are getting excited.
With regard to transporting your ChEAR Squad to Magic Kingdom from Disney's Art of Animation Resort, there will not be a direct bus available. Here is what you need to do to get your spectators to Magic Kingdom as they watch you run through part of the most magical place on earth.
• Spectators will need to take a Race Transportation bus from your resort to the Start Zone Area. I recommend they just go with you when you go.
• From the Start Zone Area spectators will transfer to the Transportation & Ticket Center via the Monorail from Epcot. From the Transportation & Ticket Center, they will then transfer to the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom.
• Make sure they all have their ChEAR Squad wristbands on in order to gain access to the reserved ChEAR Zone Areas.
I also recommend they head straight to the Monorail when they ride the bus over to Epcot with you. Trust me, they will want to get to Magic Kingdom as early as possible even though it will not open to spectators until 5:30am. And remember, no theme park ticket is required to view from Magic Kingdom. After they see you run, they can then head back to Epcot via Monorail to see you again at the finish line in the reserved grandstand seating available for ChEAR Squad Members.
For more info, head on over to
runDisney.com and select the SPECTATORS tab. From there, select Viewing Your Runner and scroll down to Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope this helps, Sarah! I'm so excited for you!
