I have been trying desperately to get an appointment any day April 3-7 at the Boutique to have a Disney makeover and buy a Disney Dress for my nieces 5th birthday inside Magic Kingdom. Can I walk in? Is there a waitlist? Ive been trying since Feb

Welcome to planDisney, Robyn! You are in the final countdown to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You must be so excited! It sounds like you've been busy planning all the details to make your visit as magical as possible!

As the mom of six daughters, I have seen the inside of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique quite a few times over the years. There's no doubt that it is an enchanting experience, and also a very popular one. You are not alone in your struggle to secure a reservation. I am sorry to hear that you have been trying without success. I so admire your commitment to make this dream a reality for your niece's birthday! While there's no wait list, and they don't take walk-ins, you do have a few options.

Check your My Disney Experience App daily, particularly beginning the day before your trip. Cancellations require 24 hours' notice, so spots occasionally open up as guests' plans change. Definitely check first thing every morning of your vacation.

If that isn't successful, there's another option. On the day (or days) you visit Magic Kingdom Park, get there early. You may have heard the term "rope drop." This means you arrive at least 30 minutes before Early Theme Park Entry, so you are ready to go as soon as the park opens. You can find the park hours at this link. While other guests head for Tron or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, you'll be on a mission to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It is located inside Cinderella Castle, so you can't miss it. Sometimes there are time slots available for that day.

Be sure to stop in Sir Mickey's in Fantasyland. Ask a Cast Member for some pixie dust for your niece. It's a sweet, simple experience that's free but a lot of fun. I always get some for myself, too! While you're there, enjoy the shop. It has some larger-than-life details and a fun backstory. They also sell princess dresses, which can be an alternative if you are unable to secure a reservation.

You are an incredible aunt, Robyn. I hope you get the chance to see your niece transform into a princess. I'm rooting for you! I am certain that you are going to have a special time with her either way. Magic can be found in so many places at Walt Disney World! Some of the best memories are made in the most surprising, unexpected ways. If you have any more questions, you know where to find us! We're always happy to help here at planDisney
