Trying to decide between Wilderness Lodge and POFQ. I love how close Lodge is to MK but I hear its a very large resort, a bit noisy for naps and I'm traveling with little ones. The pool looks better at FQ, its cheaper, smaller but farther from parks. Help!

    Hi Irene!

I have a soft spot for Wilderness Lodge.  The theme of the resort is so beautiful, you really get the feeling you're in a rustic lodge.  I have small kids too and have never had a problem with the noise level.  Our last stay there was in a room over-looking the pool.  It wasn't a problem with napping children.  Another plus of this resort is the location.  The Magic Kingdom is my favorite park, so being a ferry boat ride away is a major perk for my family.  You can also take a ferry over to Fort Wilderness and enjoy some of the activities they have for kids.

Port Orleans is my favorite moderate resort.  Staying here can save you quite a bit of money.  The grounds are beautiful and large.  Depending on where you are, and without a car, it can be a hike to get to the bus stations or the main lobby for food.  It is a quiet resort with lots of fun things to do as well.  Pools are important to my family as well.  The slide is cool at Port Orleans French Quarter, but I think the Wilderness Lodge pool is equally as great.

Take all of these factors into account.  Let your little ones take a look at the pictures of each resort and involve them in the decision making.  You can't go wrong with either one.

    Have a magical day!
