We are trying to decide between the wilderness lodge and animal kindgom lodge for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 3) with our main concern being the transportation time difference to the parks from the resorts. What are your thoughts?

    Hi Brian!

The Wilderness Lodge Resort and the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort are both amazing places to stay in Walt Disney World!  They are so much more than a room, in fact, they are an experience.  The Animal Kingdom Lodge is farther away from all the Theme Parks in Walt Disney World except for Animal Kingdom.  Wilderness Lodge is close to Magic Kingdom and all the other Magic Kingdom Resorts.  I stayed at Wilderness Lodge two times last year and I just loved it!  My son loved it too.  Magic Kingdom is just a short boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge.  You know your kids the best.  If transportation times are a concern for you and you plan on spending a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom, then Wilderness Lodge is right for your family.  On the other hand if your children love watching animals and travel times are not that important to you, then the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the place for your family!

I wish you a Walt Disney World vacation filled with magical family memories no matter where you choose to stay on your next trip!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
