we are trying to decide whether to return to the Pop, or try the All Star Sports resort. Any insight into the pro's and con's of each? And any idea how long it takes to get to the parks from sports? TIA

    Hi Megan,

I have to say that out of all the Disney Value, Moderate & Deluxe Resort hotels that my family have stayed at over the years, Disney's All-Star Sports Resort remains my 12-year old sons favourite place to stay. I guess that him being a sports fan helps.

As both Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's All-Star Sports Resort are both classified as Value Resort hotels, there are many similarities between the two. The rooms are the same size, the pools are of an equal standard and there is a food court at each one.

The main difference I would say is that Disney's Pop Century Resort has it's own dedicated bus service which means than the buses do not stop at any other Resort hotels on route to the Disney parks. This can make a big difference as it will save time and you will also have more of a chance of getting a seat.

There is a fantastic transportation wizard which I like to use on the unofficial website www.our laughingplace.com. It allows you to enter where you will be travelling to and from within the Walt Disney World Resort and then tells you various ways of making your journey as well as providing estimated travel times. I would recommend that you add an extra 20 minutes onto the travel time provided to allow for time which may be spent waiting for the next bus to arrive.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
