I am trying to decide whether or not to stay on Disney grounds. Has anyone gone to Walt Disney World and stayed off Disney grounds vs. on? I have a party of 8 which includes myself and husband, grandma and grandpa and 4 children under 7 years of age.

    Hi Hollie!

I've had the experience of staying on and off property, and honestly I prefer to stay on site, but that is probably just because we have favorite hotels and like to stay close to the magic!

Staying off site is a good option for those trying to save money on accommodations.  One particular time we stayed off site as a party of 13.

I suggest taking a look at your budge first, then pricing out some offers from www.disneyworld.com, and seeing what fits within your budget.  If you'd rather spend your accommodations budget on other experiences, then I'd look into staying off site!  I hope this helps!

    Have a magical vacation!
