I am trying to decide whether or not to add a Dining Plan to my vacation package. There are 5 of us: 2 adults/3 kids (15, 11, 11). One of my 11 year olds eat very little. I want to make sure I am getting my money's worth.

Hi Cindy!  I go through this exercise often.  The way I determine if the dining plan will work for an upcoming vacation is to determine where I plan on eating along with the cost per meal. In your case, you can factor in the meals your light eater will eat on their own vs. sharing a meal or perhaps just eating a healthy snack vs. an entire meal.  Once you have the total cost, you can compare the cost to what you would pay for the dining plan.  If you are ahead, you know to purchase the plan, otherwise you don't.  If you don't know the cost of the dining plan, you can Google "Disney Dining Plan calculator" and you should find a calculator from an unofficial site.

I hope this helps with your decision!
