Trying to decide on going to WDW first of April or mid September. If we go in April will the pools be open and the water rides? Or will it be too cold?

Hi Amy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

In my opinion there isn’t a bad time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! Each of the seasons offers so much fun that I actually have a hard time deciding when to travel myself. First we will start with the weather. In my opinion April offers comfortable weather. Average daily highs are in the low 80’s and average low temperatures are typically in the low 60’s. September offers warmer weather and sometimes it can be very hot. The average daily high is still in the 90’s while the lows are in the low 70’s.

Unless an attraction or pool is undergoing a refurbishment or the temperatures are extremely cold, typically the water attractions are open year round. All of the pools are temperature controlled so during the cooler months the water is heated! I have enjoyed the pools and Water Parks during both April and September and have had great experiences both times!

Whenever you decide to vacation I hope that it is filled with memories to last a lifetime!
