I am trying to decide between value resorts and moderate resorts for the trip I am planning for Feb 2015. Do the value resorts have fridges in the rooms? Also which value resort would you recommend for a family with 2 young boys (ages 1 and 5)?

Hello Melissa!  So happy you've stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I frequently stay at both value and moderate resorts at Walt Disney World. I love both levels for different reasons.  If we are visiting for a quick trip where we will be at the parks from sun up to sun down, then I tend to go with a value resort.  I don't see the need in paying for extra amenities that the moderates offer if we can't take advantage of them.  If we are staying for a longer vacation and we can spend some time away from the parks at the pool, then I like to go with a moderate resort.  The moderate resorts all have really fun water slides and hot tubs that we love to use if we can find time.  So I try to base my decision on just how much time we will actually be spending at the resort and go from there.  All of the value resorts do have mini refrigerators for you to use at no extra charge.  My favorite value is Disney's Pop Century Resort.  It is really great for families budget wise and fun wise.  There are always activities going on for kids.  Often times there are pool parties going on at the Hippy Dippy Pool and dance parties going on at the food court.  Everywhere you turn there are bright colors and larger than life statues to look at and take pictures with.  We've always had a great vacation when staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort and I recommend it to everyone looking to stay at a value.

I hope this helps narrow down your choices of where to stay.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.  Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
