I am trying to decide on going to the Tea Room with my 3 girls (8, 6, 3) or doing the Princess tea party with them at the Tea Room. I'm not sure I really care about getting the doll and stuff, I was wondering more about the experience, worth the $?

    Hello Lora!

I happen to think that My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party is a hidden gem experience at the Walt Disney World Resort.  We did this years ago and still talk about that day.  It is a small and intimate experience inside Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  As the title indicates, it is a Princess experience.  Most girls will come dressed as their favorite Disney Princess.  However, that is not a requirement.  Each girl will receive a My Disney Girl doll dressed as Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.  There is a really fabulous storyteller called "Rose Petal"  (character subject to change) who leads the experience with song and dance.   On top of all of that , all guests take part in a traditional type "high tea" experience.  I will say that it is quite pricey for 3 girls plus yourself.  Last I checked, an adult plus child was $250, with each additional child running $165.

If it is just the "tea experience"  that you are interested in, afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian takes place in the Garden View Lounge.  It's a lovely respite from the pace of the rest of the "World," and definitely more grown up.  Kids, however, are very welcome to attend.  For just $12 per guest, your girls can enjoy Mrs. Pott's Tea.

Please let me know if I can help answer any other questions.  I'm happy to assist!

Until then, I wish you a truly magical vacation!
