    Trying to decide between Spirit of Ohana and Mickey's backyard barbecue - coming with teens, best recommendation?

    Hello Paula, 

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and Mickey's Backyard BBQ are all magical Dining Experiences however, they offer very different meal options and entertainment.

    Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show has an enchanting island luau atmosphere, so if you're looking for a laid back meal with exciting entertainment, then I highly recommend it. My family has had the opportunity to enjoy it on three different occasions, and we have loved it each and every time. Even my very hard to please teenagers requested the Dinner Show during our last visit so, I think your teens will be very happy with this Dining Experience. The Hula and Fire Dancing performances are amazing, and the Polynesian-inspired menu is fantastic! Make sure to leave room for the pineapple bread pudding with caramel sauce for dessert!

    If you want to have a Character Dining Experience then Mickey's Backyard BBQ would be the best choice. The BBQ offers all-you-care-to-enjoy country style food. Barbeque ribs, smoked chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese and much more are served during the rollicking Hootin' Tootin' Hoedown! You'll have the chance to meet and get photos with classic Disney Characters, dance to live music from a country band, and watch some cowboy rope tricks! Your whole family will have a boot stompin' good time!
