Trying to decide between Saratoga Springs Villas and Boulder Creek Villas. 4 adults and 3 children (9,7,5). First time for kids. Family is vegan so we need a villa for meals. Won't be using many restaurants or shopping. Will be there 5 nights.

    Hi Jeanne,

I am happy to help you think about these two resorts! Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a peaceful resort with a feeling of railroad hotels in the 19th century American West. Staying in the 19th century but moving to another part of the country, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa celebrates the horse and spa retreat from upstate New York.

You will need a two-bedroom villa to be able to accommodate all of the guests in your party. Like you, I like to have a full kitchen in my villa to prepare meals. Another wonderful amenity in a one-bedroom or larger villa is that there is a washer and dryer right in the unit.

You will find two-bedroom villas at these resorts to be comparable in size. Next I would consider the location of each resort. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is quite close and convenient to Disney Springs, to which you can walk or take a boat, so if you plan to spend a lot of time there, this might be a good choice. Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is located close and a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom, so this could be a good choice if you plan to head to Magic Kingdom often.

If I was going to choose between these two resorts, I would likely choose Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, because that theme is appealing to me. But let me throw one more possibility into the mix! Have you considered a Treehouse Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa? These individual treehouses are nestled in the woods and are peaceful and lovely. My family of three shared one with good family friends who are a family of four for a week, and we had an absolute blast.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, Jeanne!
