Trying to decide between the Saratoga and the Contemporary resort. We will be traveling next September with our then 4 year old boys. We have not stayed at either and had been set on Contemporary but family is recommending Saratoga.

    Hi Melissa,

As a Disney Vacation Club Member who chose Saratoga Springs as my Home Resort, I would still recommend the Contemporary Resort in your case.

Saratoga Springs is beautiful, quiet, has a fantastic main pool and is within walking distance to Downtown Disney. These are some of its "selling points". However, it is a lengthy bus ride to the Magic Kingdom and other Parks. While you may enjoy visiting Downtown Disney for a shopping trip, I believe you'll appreciate being closer to the Parks with 2 young tired boys.

The Contemporary is walking distance from the Magic Kingdom (where you'll be spending the majority of your time with 4 year old children). In addition, it is a short (and fun) monorail ride away from Epcot. Your sons will enjoy riding the monorail right into the building, and you'll appreciate the convenience.

Be sure to make reservations for Chef Mickey's for one of your meals. This fun and popular restaurant can be reserved by calling 407-WDW-DINE up to 180 days in advance.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful vacation,

    Kaylene
