Trying to decide what restaurants to do with my family trip in June. I’m bringing my dad who will turn 91 (last trip was 1987), my two adult children 23 and 21, my husband and myself. Hoop Dee Doo is a must do. We are on dinning plan.

Welcome to planDisney Cassandra! I am honored and very excited to help with your trip that sounds like it has 3 generations coming together at the Walt Disney World Resort. I love eating food and planning to eat food is second only to eating.

If unforgettable experiences is what you want Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue will have the whole family in stitches. If the singing and dancing isn't enough entertainment, the crowd participation and reactions will always be memorable too. You may be celebrating Dad's birthday on this trip so be sure to listen for the birthday roll call.

If you are in the mood for a little bit of nostalgia the next restaurant was open in the Magic Kingdom Park in 1987 when your father last visited the parks. The Liberty Tree Tavern has been a staple since opening day in 1971, and has continued to be an amazing meal every time I have visited. This colonial-style inn serves up a traditional all-you-care-to-enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. It is served family-style with piles of turkey, pot roast, and oven-roasted pork and all the fixings. But honestly the star of the show is dessert. That Ooey Gooey toffee cake with vanilla ice cream sounds so simple but never ever disappoints.

For an out-of-this-world experience Space 220 at EPCOT is a very unique restaurant with a very nice view...of Earth. This location is set 220 miles above earth and you get to watch your ascent from a special space elevator that takes you to the stars to dine. With a prix-fixe menu for lunch is 2-course and dinner is a 3-course meal, you are set to have an other worldly experience. When you are ready to make your dining selections be sure to make your reservations 60 days ahead of your visit starting at 6 A.M. Some of these reservations fill up quickly so I recommend being ready to make those ahead of your stay.

No matter where you chose to dine it will be wonderful, as it is not the food but the company you will be sharing the time with. I wish you and your family the most magical vacation with memories that will last 3 lifetimes! Please come back and ask me a question if you have any questions regarding this stay and I will be happy to be your guide.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
