Trying to decide between resorts. Five adults staying in a two bedroom, can't decide between Boardwalk Villas for quick access to parks or Animal Kingdom Villas for amenities.

    Hi Michael,

You are deciding between two great resorts.  I love the hustle and bustle at Disney's BoardWalk Villas, which is my home resort with Disney Vacation Club. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas is so unique, with rich decor and the ability to see animals such as giraffes and zebras at the resort.

Either resort would be wonderful; however, for your trip, I am going to suggest Disney's BoardWalk Villas.  First off, as you point out, this will give you much quicker access to the parks.  You could walk or take a boat to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, and only need a bus for Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom.  From Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, you would take a bus to all four parks, and it is geographically further away from most of them so the bus rides are longer.  At Disney's BoardWalk Villas, you have access to not only the restaurants and bars on Disney's BoardWalk, but you can walk to Disney's Yacht and Beach Clubs, as well as to Walt Disney World's Swan and Dolphin hotels, all of which have numerous restaurant and bar options.  The nightlife on Disney's BoardWalk is such fun, including Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar.  Although I love the restaurants at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, they are much more limited in number.

You mention that you were thinking of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas for amenities.  Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Disney's BoardWalk are very similar in amenities.  You will receive the same supplies in your villa, such as soaps and paper towels, and the resort-level amenities are also very similar, for example, each has great pool areas.  I would not choose Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas over Disney's BoardWalk Villas based on amenities.

I would love to help you plan more Michael; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
