Hi trying to decide on a resort I want value thinking art of animation but not sure about the food thinking pop since it's close and we could still see art would only need standard room would art be worth the extra money won't be there much or all star eve

    Hi Sheena!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Ah, the Walt Disney World Resort decision. My family goes through it every vacation. Our favorite Value Resort is Disney's Pop Century Resort, but we haven't stayed in Disney's Art of Animation Resort yet. I have gone to visit and went to eat at Landscape of Flavors, the quick-service restaurant (food court style), as it is a quick walk from Disney's Pop Century. The decor is incredible and very detail-oriented.

Landscape of Flavors offers non-traditional items on the menu, which I like. If you have young children, there is a large zero-entry pool, which is essential for my children who cannot swim yet.  Many Guests like that that Disney's Art of Animation is new, so there is less wear and tear. I would spend the extra money to stay here, because the standard rooms are Little Mermaid-themed and I have daughters who are big Ariel fans! Keep in mind that the Little Mermaid rooms are furthest away from the main building though.

Now, being that I am a budget-conscious Guest, here is why I would choose Pop Century. If you are truly not going to be in the hotel room very much, and you just want a fun place to rest your head, then Pop Century will absolutely fit that bill! I l love the fun icons, the dedicated bus service, my children love to play Twister, and the cookie ice cream sandwiches are divine. The extra money you save can go to more snacks or fun dining experiences or a repeat trip to Walt Disney World. In my family, we live by the motto, a penny saved is another penny towards Disney!

If you have any other questions, please ask away. I hope you have a magical, fantastical vacation!
