I am trying to decide on which resort to stay at. Could you recommend a couple that would be good for a 4 year old? I don't think we will spend too much time in the room so we don't need anything extravagant, something appealing for a young kid

    Hi Jessica,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your inquiry. I absolutely love assisting guests with my recommendations and tips so that their experiences are extra magical and a little less stressful. Since I am not sure of your budget, I will offer my top picks for Walt Disney World resorts in each of the categories.

Among the value resorts at Walt Disney World, Disney's Art of Animation is, hands down, one of my all-time favorite themed resorts. The attention to details from some of Disney's most classic films (Cars, Lion King, Finding Nemo and Little Mermaid) is phenomenal. This resort offers family suites, which provide a little extra room, a kitchenette, and an extra bathroom without breaking the bank in my opinion. You can also get a standard room in the Little Mermaid section and the details are just as amazing. Another great benefit to this resort is the Big Blue Pool. It is the largest on property with a zero entry heated pool, splash area and state of the art technology that allows you to hear music underwater!

If you are looking for rooms with a twist, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has pirate themed rooms and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside has royal rooms. These rooms have details and furniture that other rooms in the same resort do not. Keep in mind that these rooms are limited in availability and must be reserved. They cannot simply be requested.

In the deluxe resort category is my absolute favorite resort among all of them, Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The grand lobby with its totem poles and lodge feel takes my breath away each time. It has a more rustic feel and some of my favorite dining spots, too. It is also very close to Magic Kingdom.

I hope this helps you narrow down your options and choose the one best suited for your family.

    Have a magical trip!
