We are trying to decide between a preferred room (hope for Toy Story building) at All-Star Movie or a Little Mermaid Room at AofA? Nice pools would be great ~ we are not going to the waterparks ~ two adults and two boys (2 and 17) are in our party!

    Hi, Jennifer!

Both Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort are great resorts, so you'll be pleased with either one. My family would be thrilled to stay at either of these two properties.

Having toured each, however, I can say that Disney's Art of Animation Resort truly raises the bar with regard to Value Resorts. The food court, Landscapes of Flavor,  includes options I have not seen at other Value Resorts, including such tasty treats as a Build Your Own Salad Bar, at least 6 flavors of delicious, hand-scooped gelato, and tandoor oven-roasted chicken, shrimp, sausage and veggies, as well as a mouth-watering Surf and Surf Burger (crab cake topped with popcorn shrimp, tomato, lettuce and cajun reoulade served on a brioche bun. YUM!

The attention to detail at the pools at AoA are jaw-dropping, too. For photos of both resorts' pool areas, head over to one of my favorite unofficial sites, allears.net, hover over "Walt Disney World" and click on "Accommodations." From there, you'll find reviews and photos which might help you choose between these two great resorts.

Again, you can't go wrong with either one, but if you have the option of either, I'd suggest Disney's Art of Animation Resort. :-)

Happy planning! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help!
