Trying to decide between Pop Century and All-Star Movies for our Feb vacation with 4 and 5 yr old boys. Any recommendations? And what is the difference between standard and preferred rooms? Thank you so much for all your help!!

    Hi, Sarah!

Wow, you have a tough decision to make!  Both Pop Century and All-Star Movies are great for kids and families.   Personally, Pop Century is my favorite Value Resort.  I really like that Pop Century gets it own bus for park transportation, and I really like the theme here with such fun icons such as a giant Mickey Mouse phone and a huge Mr. Potato Head. So fun!

Both resorts offer a huge food court, multiple pools, Disney transportation, and the rooms at both resorts are the same size with the same amenities.

The only difference between Standard and Preferred rooms will be the location.  The Preferred rooms will be closer to the lobby area and bus stop.   I always book standard rooms since these are cheaper and I don't mind walking just a few extra minutes.  At Pop Century, I like the rooms in the 50's buildings with a lake view, and at All-Star Movies, I like the Love Bug buildings.

The great news is that you cannot go wrong with either resort.  Let your boys check out the website and they can help you decide what looks like more fun to them.  Good luck and have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
