Hi Kimberly! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I love to use the
Disney Dining Plans, but I know it can feel as if you are removing any spontaneity from your day if you have to work around a dining reservation. I still think it's worth every penny and offers great value and flexibility, with reservations only needed for the Table-Service meals. During the day you can use your Quick-Service entitlements, and your Snacks, wherever you like, no forward planning required. I usually enjoy dinner reservations that require two Table-Service credits, which means that dinner is planned for one day, freeing up our time on the following day. My favourite Table-Service meals that require two credits each are
Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort - both are within easy reach of Magic Kingdom Park. I also love
Be Our Guest Restaurant which is located in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park, so is easily accessible during or after a magical day there. If you did not want to be tied to any dinner reservations, you could purchase the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan which will give you two Quick-Service Meals, two Snacks and a refillable drink mug, per day, so you would have total flexibility when deciding where you want to eat. Your dining credits can be used in any way you choose - so maybe using more credits on one day, and less on another - which might help with your planning. Dining reservations for Table-Service meals are recommended, up to 180 days in advance, online or by using your My Disney Experience mobile app.
