I am trying to decide between one day one park tickets or park hopper tickets. My kids are 6 & 8 and have not been to Disneyland or Disney World yet, but we plan on going to Disney World next year.

    Hi Stephanie! Welcome to planDisney!

I love hearing that you are planning your kiddos first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! They are going to love it, and you will love watching their faces light up as they experience it all for the first time. Make sure to have your camera ready because you will want to capture it all!

My kids are around the same age as your two, so I am happy to help! At this age, it is a bit too much for my kids to jump around from park to park for a visit that is just a few days and we take things a little slower. For this reason, we usually opt for the one park per day Walt Disney World theme park tickets when we are traveling five days or less. This way, we don't spend much time traveling between theme parks and can soak up everything from one theme park at a time.

For longer visits when we know that we don't have to get everything packed into one day at each theme park, we go with the Park Hopper Option because we know we will have plenty of time to return to each theme park at another time. We love to plan dinners at EPCOT after a day of exploring Disney's Hollywood Studios or head over to Magic Kingdom Park to see the nighttime spectacular after spending the day in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

It all ends up being personal preference, but the length of our stay is how I determine what type of ticket to purchase. I hope this helps you and that you make lots of memories with your kids, Stephanie! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
