Hi! I am trying to decide about mickey's backyard bbq. How long does the dancing usually last? Do all children get to see the characters, or do they select certain audience members only? Thanks

Hi Amy!  The dancing goes on through-out the evening.  The live band gets everyone going and the fun lasts for quite a while.  Then it will be interrupted with a nice show that includes rope tricks etc.  The children are encouraged to sit around the sides of the dance floor and a couple of them are chosen to help.  Then it is back to dancing!  You can eat at any time as it is a buffet and if there is a problem it is trying to get the kids to sit and take the time to eat!

All the children have great opportunity to see the characters.  They are allowed to go on the dance floor and dance with any or all the characters who are there.  They will also have the chance to greet and see several of them as they do separate a few and place them to the sides of the dance floor at different times.  This is a bit less hectic for the kids.  Sometimes they will have the time to even sign autographs.  The characters will take breaks now and then but seem to keep coming back all night!  My three year old grandson loved his first Mickey's Backyard Barbecue.  I would recommend this dining experience for kids from the age of 2 1/2 on up.  The little ones might be overwhelmed by all the activity!
