I am trying to decide which 1/2 marathon to sign up for, Princess or Wine & Dine. I enjoy running in the evening but W&D does not begin until 10pm. I am afraid that I will be tired waiting to run that late. Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi Janelle!

Well, first I have to say that I LOVE both of those races.  And even though they both take place at Walt Disney World, I think that they have very different atmospheres.

The Princess is in the morning and runs through Magic Kingdom (including the castle!).  It is mainly women running, and there are tons of tu-tus, princess costumes, sparkle, and lots of "girl power".  It's a great race and since it was my first-ever half marathon it holds a very special place in my heart.

The Wine and Dine has become my favorite runDisney race.  I also enjoy running in the evening and I love that it spends more time inside of Disney parks.  It runs through both Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.  The 10 p.m. start does seem late, but like any race, you will be filled with enough adrenaline that you don't even notice it being late.  And of course, the post-race party at Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival is really fun!  This race is more evenly split between males and females, but you will still see some fun costuming.

I hope this helps you!  It is a hard choice, but I think you would love either one.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
