Trying to decide which high end deluxe resort would be best for our family of 5. Somewhere very kid friendly and the most amenities that would allow us adults to enjoy every minute. Any info including best rooms (suites) with kitchens and laundry access.

    Hi Kim!

Nothing makes me happier than finding a question in my Moms Panel box.  Thanks for submitting your query!

As a family of five with an interest in having a full kitchen and private laundry facilities, you can't do better than a one-bedroom villa at a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property.  There are several that accommodate parties of five.  If you or your children love animals, book a one-bedroom villa at Kidani Village.  This is the DVC property adjoining Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  There's nothing like having a cup of tea on your balcony in the morning as you watch giraffes and gazelles amble by.

If you prefer to be located near the Magic Kingdom, choose a one-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower.  This magnificent new addition to the DVC family is so close to the Magic Kingdom that you can walk to the park's front gates.  My sister and her family of five stay at this resort often and her children love the amenities they at this resort.

My personal favorite resort at Walt Disney World is Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  This resort does not have one-bedroom villas that accommodate five, but a two-bedroom villa at this resort would give your party all the amenities of a one-bedroom villa plus plenty of room to spread out.  These rooms are spectacular and the theming (based on the century-old National Park Service lodges of the Pacific Northwest) is unparalleled.  They even have a geyser that erupts here on the hour.  It's pretty amazing!

One last recommendation: if being close to Epcot is your preference, book a two-bedroom villa at Disney's Beach Club Villas.  These rooms are so charming and you can walk to the International Gateway of Epcot in less than five minutes.  We stayed there in March and it is now one of our very favorite Disney resorts.

Please don't hesitate to write back if you need more recommendations!
