We are trying to decide between the Grand Floridian , or the Beach Club resorts. Any suggestions? We are going w/ our 6,4, 2 yo. some reviews say beach club is nicer w/ kids, but is other better b/c closer to MK?

I would recommend the Grand Floridian.

The pool at the Beach Club is fun for kids of all ages. However the entrance to the slide is actually outside of the pool area and across a walkway. We found this set up very inconvenient for parents of small children. The close proximity to Epcot was fantastic but I would recommend this for families with older children. While being able to slip quickly back to your hotel after Epcot’s Illuminations is convenient, the monorail to the Magic Kingdom with little kids wins out.

While your kids are still young having monorail access to the Magic Kingdom is ideal. From the Grand Floridian (GF), you can get on the monorail using the entrance on the second floor of the lobby. Once aboard, your next stop is the Magic Kingdom!

When returning to the Grand Floridian for a mid-day break, you can monorail or boat back to the GF. Taking the boat back to the Grand Floridian is a fun adventure for the kids and you’ll be the first stop. This is a good way to return to your resort when you are in a hurry for nap and/or pool time.

The pool at the Grand Floridian is nice for children. It is a zero-entry depth pool which makes wading fun for toddlers and preschoolers alike.

Kids also like playing in the sand at the GF’s beach. Watching the Wishes fireworks from the boat dock and the Electrical Water Pageant is also a great treat for the whole family.
