I am trying to decide if we should go to MK on a day that the hours are shorter due to MNSSHP (we won't be doing it), or go on regular day where the hours are a little longer and wait times poss longer. We will have a 5 year old with us. Suggestions?

    Hello Kelly!

First, I must ask- are you sure you don't want to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? It is a BLAST! The parade is my favorite, and there is nothing like seeing Mickey and the gang in their fun Halloween costumes. But, on to your question.

I would recommend going to the Magic Kingdom on a non-party day. In my experience, the crowds are not noticeable smaller on party days, and you lose out on the opportunity to enjoy the park in the evening. It is worth staying up late to catch Happily Ever After, the Magic Kingdom fireworks spectacular.

No matter what you decide, I always recommend making your FastPass+ selections as soon as you can and then get to the park before opening to make the most of the lowest crowds of the day.

I hope this helps you with your planning!

    See ya real soon,
