    Hello! We are trying to decide when to go to Disney..looking @ last week in May or the week starting June 2..very nervous b/c we have only been in cold months, is it extremely hot then? And crowded?? Is free dining ever offered then? Thanks!!!

    Hi Russell!

          You have picked a great time to go to Walt Disney World! Typically, it is a moderate time as far as crowds are concerned. The crowds do get a little larger around the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, but they are manageable. The weather usually is warm and and slightly humid with temperatures averaging from 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the day and in the 70's at night. You will need to have a strategy to stay out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day like dinning inside for lunch or picking inside rides or attractions that have air conditioning to experience during the middle of the day. There can be a short lasting afternoon thunderstorm everyday, so pack umbrellas or rain ponchos for your vacation. Typically Free Dining is not offered during the end of May to the middle of August because it is considered the Summer Season in Walt Disney World.
