Trying to decide between FW Lodge and Caribbean Beach in April 2010. Three kids - 7, 5,(boys) and 9 months (girl). No need for pirate rooms, but the pool is a plus. Does FW Lodge have that Disney "feel"? Thanks - love the panel!

    Jennifer:

If price is not a factor in your equation, go for Wilderness Lodge!

Especially with boys who will appreciate the rustic ambiance, eyes will light up when you see the atrium of the lobby and the stories-tall fireplace.  Its pool sports a geyser and slide, and is probably one of the best on the complex.  Your room will accommodate the crib for your 9-month-old better than the smaller CBR room to boot!  Best of all, there is a lot less walking at the hotel in comparison to CBR's vast campus and only one bus stop instead of four.  The boat ride to Magic Kingdom provides an attraction in itself and the nightly water pageant is yet another favorite of guests there.

Even if your budget comes into play, you'll find the discounts on the deluxe resorts to be more than on a Moderate, if you do your homework.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
